Here’s what I know about fashion….I love it! I’m not just talking about named brand things either, although designer things are great to have (I certainly am not opposed to rocking a pair of Christian Louboutin red bottom stilettos or sporting a beautiful Chloe Drew handbag both of which I own). However my biggest thrill comes when I can put an outfit together and it didn’t cost me a lot of coins. If you think about it, everything we wear has been designed by somebody. So essentially we all wear designer things everyday. These people just don’t have the same popularity as the high end couturiers have but they are designers all the same. I say let’s take a moment to appreciate these low-key creators right now because without them most of us would be lost in the sea of ugly clothing forever.

So as it turns out, I have a real eye for finding good pieces and making them look amazing. What a wonderful feeling it is to shop, leave with bags of great deals and still have enough coins left for lunch. Now, I do understand and can appreciate that everybody is not into fashion as I am and that is perfectly fine. However, for those that are interested in updating or increasing your wardrobe on a budget, I would love to help. In the upcoming article, “Everyday Slay” I will give a list of some must-have items that should be in every woman’s closet as well as every man’s closet AND I will direct you where to find these things based on the coin you want to spend.

My outfit for this week is a bold two piece polka dot suit that I paired with a poppin’ hot pink cami tee and hot pink pumps. I was searching through EBay one day for something totally different and the suit just popped up out of nowhere…I promise it did. Two wonderful things followed: 1. They had it in my size and 2. It was the right price. I paid less than $100 for it! The shoes I got from DSW for $45 and the cami tee I got from Ross Dress for Less for $5. And just like that, I feel like the heavens opened up and poured out an amazing outfit for just a little over $100! Won’t He Do It!!!!

Here is my fashion thought of the week: you absolutely do not have to compromise style for comfort. In the next few weeks, I’ll show you how to find fashion forward pieces that are nice and easy fits. Stay tuned!
